A graduation of seventeen active reserve students took place in a WO Club in Dědice Garrison on 12th May 2010. The graduates started the course at TC – MA Institute of Training on the 1st April 2010 and commenced their six-week military training which is compulsory for all active reservists during the first year of their active-reserves` contract.
The ceremony was conducted by Colonel Jozef LAURO, Chief of the TC – MA Institute of Training, and Marek Mareček, Chief Warrant Officer of the Department of Basic Training, Institute of Training. It was attended by the TC – MA chief leaders lead by Colonel GS Zbyněk Janečka, TC – MA Deputy Commander, and Chief Warrant Officer Libor Pliešovský, Command Sergeant Major.
Active Reserves, like their predecessors early this year, completed theoretical and practical training with the aim of learning new skills and increasing their physical and mental endurance. Gradually they gained knowledge and skills required for shooting practice, health education, tactical and physical training as well as for topographical, communication, engineer and DWMD (Defense against Weapons of Mass Destruction) training. They also became acquainted with legal and financial requisites resulting from military acts, ordinances and regulations.
Those who have passed this course in Vyškov know that the training there means, above all, a demonstration of the required skills at MTEA Březina at any weather conditions. Experienced instructors of the Institute of Training trained the Active Reserves in sub-machine gun shooting, tactical practice as well as on the fire track.
Students had to prove their acquired knowledge and skills by passing the final exam. Even though they are not going to start a professional military career, their attitude to the execution of tasks, interest in learning and training as well as achieved study results demonstrate their great professionalism.
