A Graduation ceremony of sixteen active reservists – among them one female – was held in the Warrant Officers` Club of Dědice Garrison on 12th February 2010. Students were enrolled in this course at the Institute of Training, Training Command – Military Academy (TC – MA) on 4th January 2010 and took a six-week military training.

Among the important guests who accepted the invitation to the ceremony were BG Radoslav Rotrekl, Deputy Commander of the Support Forces, Col. Miroslav Zelinka, Director of Regional Military Command (RMC) Brno and Command Sergeant Major Petr Seifert, RMC Chief WO.

The graduation ceremony organized by Col. Jozef Lauro, the Chief of the Institute of Training, TC – MA, Command Sergeant Major Libor Pliešovský, Chief WO, and Command Sergeant Major Marek Mareček, Chief WO of the Support Forces at the Department of Basic Training, Institute of Training. The ceremony was also attended by TC – MA officials led by Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander and his Deputy Colonel GS Zbyněk Janečka.

Trainees passed theoretical and practical part of the training in demanding climatic conditions which lasted during the whole course. The aim of the training was to learn basic skills in respective kinds of preparation and increase physical and mental abilities of the trainees. Main subjects enabling the trainees to gain required knowledge and skills were shooting, tactical, medical and physical training and later also topographical, communication and engineer training as well as protection against weapons of mass destruction. In terms of basic rules the trainees were also acquainted with legal and financial requirements resulting from legislation, ordinances and military regulations. Performance of the basic submachine gun shooting exercise, practical tactical exercises and fire-track training were crucial activities of the training. All trainees proved their knowledge at an overall exam which they passed on 4th February 2010. Their attitude towards performing tasks, their interest in classes and training and, above all, their exam results prove their high level of professionalism.

Other active reservist special-purpose courses, this time tailored for small-arms gunners, will be held at the Institute of Training TC – MA in Vyškov on three different dates in March 2010.
