The Ball Given by the TC – MA Commander

The Ball given by the TC – MA Commander was traditionally held in the Garrison Cultural Building (GCB) in Vyškov on 5th March 2010. The guests were received by the TC – MA Commander himself at the entrance hall and the ladies were given a beautiful flower. During his introductory speech Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna pronounced officially that he was opening the ball for the last time as the TC – MA Commander.

On this occasion all the premises of the GCB were reserved for the guests, so they could enjoy themselves not only in the Great Hall where the Panorama Band played, but also in the Small Hall where L.I.F. Band Olomouc performed while DJ Edit entertained bar guests. Those who wanted not only to dance, but also to sing could take advantage of folk cimbalom music by ONDRÁŠ, Military Artistic Ensemble. The guests could also enjoy performance of Kalimero Majorettes, DSP Kometa Vyškov dancers performing Standard and Latin-American dances, oriental dancers and cancan dancers. The whole evening was hosted by Hana Holišová, Brno actress, who is well-known mainly because of her starring in TV series called Very Fragile Relationships. One of the curiosities of this year`s Ball was, without doubt, the presence of Lubomír Vaňěk, caricaturist, who drew a very realistic portraits of many guests within few seconds which would remind them of that pleasant evening.

The lovers of good food and drinks were satisfied as well. They could enjoy St. Hubert`s Goulash on red wine with Carlsbad herb dumplings, pork sirloin rolls stuffed with spinach served with castle potatoes on herbs or mini-cutlets of pork sirloin and chicken breast served with homemade potato salad.

At midnight sharp all the guests expected with attention drawing of tombola which is an inseparable part of all balls. All the tickets were redeemable and 14 lucky guests enjoyed the prices. There was friendly and pleasant atmosphere, which was also merit of those who participated in the organization of this year`s Ball.
