Basic Training Students Graduation Ceremony

A Graduation ceremony of basic training students took place on 24 and 25 September 2009 at the Department of Basic Training, Institute of Training. Those who graduated are future University of Defence students and Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University Prague, and soldiers destined to AFCR units.

The Ceremony was attended by the chief leaders of TC – MA, namely: Colonel GS Jaromír ZŮNA, TC – MA Commander; Colonel GS Zbyněk JANEČEK, TC – MA Deputy Commander; Josef KOPECKÝ, TC – MA Chief of Staff Colonel GS; Chief Warrant Officer Libor PLIEŠOVSKÝ, Command Sergeant Major; Lieutenant-Colonel Josef LAURO, Institute of Training Chief; Lieutenant-Colonel Jiří HEŘMANSKÝ, Department of Basic Training Chief, and other guests.

The person responsible for the actual ceremony and its organisation and preparation was Command Sergeant Major of the Department of Basic Training Chief Warrant Officer Marek MAREČEK. Reward handover to the best drill instructors and basic training students was a part of the ceremony.

Rewards went: for the best basic training graduate to SSG. Jan HRONEK (1nd Training Course), SSG Lukáš BITTALA (2nd Training Course) and SSG. Filip VAINER (3rd Training Course). Rewards for achievements in marksmanship went to: SSG. Petra Hovadová (1st Training Course), SSg Simona Miková (2nd Training Course) and SSG Patrik Šurmánek (3. Training Course). Rewards for best sport results went to SSG Filip Boháč (1st Training Course), SSg Zuzana Klečková (2nd Training Course) and SSG Václav Šrámek (3rd Training Course).

For achieving best results in the filed of training in a unit for the 3rd term rewards went to Tomáš KOTOUČ (temporarily assigned to 1st Training Course), SFC Otakar KOVÁŘ (temporarily assigned to 2nd Training Course) and WO1 Jiří KŘEHULA (temporarily assigned to 3rd Training Course).
The graduation ceremony of students who attended the basic training courses run by the Department of Basic Training was a dignified good-bye to soldiers destined to AFCR units, to future University of Defence students. This also brought an end to challenging tasks that were being fulfilled by the Department of Basic Training in the 3rd term.
