The AF CR parade of the units situated in the South Moravian Region took place in Svoboda Square in Brno on the 6th May 2010. TC – MA Vyškov was one of the honoured participants performing in front of the general public.
Decorations for TC – MA Marking the 65th Anniversary of the End of World War II
The parade of the units, which was held under the patronage of Michal Hašek, Governor of the South Moravian Region, marked not only the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II, but also the 10th anniversary of the Foundation of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS) in the South Moravian Region. Among those participating in this event were important guests from the Defence Department such as Martin Barták, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, František Padělek, Deputy Minister of Defence, MG Čestmír Tesařík, Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Inspector General of the ACR as well as South Moravian Region leaders and the IRS authorities.
On this occasion the Governor of the South Moravian Region decorated some of the regional IRS units as well as some military units and facilities with a Commemorative Ribbon. This decoration was received by TC – MA and University of Defence in Brno for being one of the best schools in the region. Also the 74th Light Mechanized Battalion Bučovice, Regional Military Command Brno – the Active Reserve Infantry Company and the Czech Pilots` Association were also among the awarded.
This event included also a distribution of Golden, Silver, Bronze and Commemorative Medals of the South Moravian Region. Among the awarded was Brigadier General GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander, who received the Bronze Medal, and Colonel GS Zbyněk Janečka, TC – MA Deputy Commander, who was given the Commemorative Medal.
