Delegation from Lower and Upper Austria

Within cross-border cooperation, a delegation led by Colonel Fuchsberger and Colonel Barth from Lower and Upper Austria visited Regional Military Command (RMC) Brno on 22 – 24 September 2009. The aim of this visit was to learn the Brno RMC’s duties and responsibilities in crisis management in non-military operations in cross-border areas and those of the Operation Centre of Firefighter and Rescue Corps Brno.

One of the items on the agenda was a visit to TC – MA in Vyškov. Here, they were told about the activities and responsibilities of TC – MA in the initial briefing led by Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander. It was followed by a tour round specialized sites which were well-prepared for the Austrian visitors. Lastly, pistol and small-bore rifle shooting was carried out on a tunnel shooting range along with the option of vehicle-driving and vehicle-driving demonstration.
