Two lectures on Extremism and Its Manifestation in Society Nowadays in Relation to the AFCR were held in Vyškov Garrison on 17th February.
This event was organized by Department of Humanitarian Service of the Personnel Support Directorate within education framework regarding Prevention of Socially Unacceptable Phenomena. It was prepared in cooperation with Masaryk University (MU) Brno which took part in providing the lecturers. After a year PhDr. Josef Smolík, PhD, Assistant Professor at Political Science and Security and Strategic Studies at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Studies MU, who studied Political Science, Psychology and Social Pedagogy at MU, held a lecture at TC – MA. He specializes in radical parties, political psychology and security issues and he is also an executive editor of the on-line Rexter magazine (www.rexter.cz).
In the morning personnel of the Support Forces Command, Military Medical Facilities Vyškov and Prostějov catchment areas, Regional Military Command (RMC) Jihlava and Military Facilities Bystřice pod Hostýnem gathered in the auditorium of Dědice Garrison. In the afternoon the same lecture was attended by more than 250 TC – MA personnel, Support Battalion personnel, RMC Zlín as well as international military organization NATO JCBRN Defence COE who took advantage and improved their knowledge of one of the most discussed topics concerning socially unacceptable phenomena which appear not only in the AFCR, but also in the whole society. All the participants in this event had a chance to learn some general information such as a basic definition of extremism and its typology. They also became acquainted with anti-extremist polices and had an insight into possible links within a relation of the army and extremism.
