Negotiation on the Options of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic Training at TC – MANegotiation on the Options of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic Training at TC – MA

On 25 January 2010 MG Peter Vojtek, Chief of the Staff for GS Ops Support of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, and Colonel GS Emil Hvásta, Chief of the Department of Personnel Management Staff for Ops Support of the AF SR, visited Vyškov Garrison to deal with the options of the AF SR training at Training Command – Military Academy (TC – MA).

This negotiation resulted from the previous visit of the Slovak Armed Forces` Delegation led by Colonel GS Emil Hvásta in December 2009 during which both counterparts exchanged their experience concerning training of the AF SR and AF CR. They also discussed a framework of the courses for providing professional training and general and humanitarian training including the demonstration of training facilities at TC – MA. Among others, Slovak counterparts were impressed by the Spiritual Services Centre of the AF CR in Luleč and organization of ethics workshops, but mostly by the Air Force personnel training and their training facilities.

An agenda of this year`s negotiation focused on the options of the Slovak Air Force specialists` training at TC – MA which highly interested the Slovak counterparts.

After an introductory briefing of Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander, Lt-Col Vlastimil Šlouf, Chief of the Air Force Department at the Institute of Education, briefed on the Air Force Specialists` training in the AF CR. Then the foreign guests visited the Air Force AF CR classrooms (namely engineer air service classrooms) and also the Air Force Training Hangar designed for the training of the ground-air personnel. The issues regarding an active reservists training was also discussed at the meeting.
