The conference entitled Twenty Years of Transformation of Military Education – Personnel Training for the AF CR Needs was held from 30th – 31st March 2010 on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Personnel Training.

The Conference was organized by Training Command – Military Academy in Vyškov under the auspices of Reservist Maj-Gen František Padělek, Deputy Minister of Defence, Walter Bartoš, Chairman of the Committee for Science, Culture and Physical Education of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic (CDP CR) and Michael Hrbata, Vice-Chairman of the Committee for Defence at the CDP CR. The main objective of the conference was to support a conceptual approach for solving issues regarding the personnel training, development of the skills and abilities of the military professionals of the AF CR, set up perspective and trends in personnel training for the nearest future with the emphasize on improvement of the military professional training.

Attended by one-hundred people, the conference consisted of 25 inspiring lectures concerning topics from different fields of the personnel training both on international and interdepartmental scale. All these lectures including other 11 contributions and conclusions of the conference will be issued in a Memorial Volume and will appear also online.

One of the interesting items on the agenda of the conference was a practical demonstration of the personnel training at Training Command – Military Academy with the use of up-to-date educational and training facilities of TC – MA which, as a departmental and international education institution, satisfies 85% of the AF CR needs.
