Workshop of the representatives of departmental schools

On Thursday the 8^th October 2009 a workshop of the representatives of departmental schools took place in Vyškov Garrison. It was organized by Training Command – Military Academy (TC – MA). The main objective and idea to organize this course on interdepartmental level was not only to increase awareness about the role of individual departmental schools at the system of the preparation of the personnel, but also to indicate different fields of possible cooperation.

At the beginning of a daylong meeting all the participants were welcomed by Colonel GS Jaromír ZŮNA, TC – MA Commander, who introduced mission, activity and possibilities of the cooperation between departmental schools and TC – MA which occupies a significant place in training of the Czech Armed Forces and focuses on implementation of basic, professional and specialized training, career military education and training of officers, warrant officers and staff sergeants. This presentation was also enriched by a visit to an educational-training base of TC – MA.

Afterwards the presentations of ten departmental schools followed and their presenters highly appreciated the idea of possible cooperation during the final discussion of the meeting. Among participants there were High Police Schools and Police Academies of Ministry of Defence (MD) from Prague, Jihlava and Brno, Specific Educational Institution of MD, High School and College of Fire Fighters from Frýdek-Místek, Diplomatic Academy at MFA from Prague, Judicial Academy from Kroměříž and Specialized School of Military Police form Vyškov.

One of the participants was also a Service Centre for Road Transport Inc. which cooperates closely with the Institute of Transportation Training at TC – MA in Vyškov. All the participants agreed on further professional proceeding which should take place in the first term of 2010.
