Security Director of the MoD in Vyškov Garrison

On 10^th March 2010 an inauguration of a specialized classroom designed for Physical Security training was an occasion to welcome David Průša, Security Director of the MoD and Miroslav Charbuský, Director of the Security Department of the MoD, at TC – MA. They were received by Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander, who accompanied them to the classroom where they cut the tape and attended the first lecture on Physical Security.

The newly refurbished classroom will be used for training students responsible for physical security at their units. The students were reminded of the fist steps in teaching classified information protection in Vyškov dating back to 2007. Since then 120 students have graduated from the professional courses. They became acquainted with specific knowledge and skills required for specialists responsible for the projects regarding physical security. This was done around a terrain model which is a new feature of the specialized classroom. The visit included a demonstration of the electric alarm system board which is usually used in the majority of the secured areas.

The purpose for improvement of the conditions at Educational and Training Base of Military Academy is effort of the Security Department for centralization of training including security of the Classified Information Protection in Vyškov and the ability of the instructors to ensure first-rate training according to the latest trends. The Security Department expressed satisfaction with the current way of teaching in Vyškov by Mr Charbuský`s words: “In particular, I would like to thank Capt. Pavel Matal and Capt. Vladimír Haumer who started almost from scratch in 2007 and thanks to their attitude to teaching we managed to create quality conditions. Nowadays we can talk about above-standard cooperation which, I believe, will continue.”

The conclusion of the visit was dedicated to the presentation of Training Command – Military Academy in the field of education and training in Vyškov Garrison. The negotiation between Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander, and Mr Průša, Security Director, was very friendly and set up good prerequisites for further cooperation.
