TC-MA: First Silver Graduate Badges Awarded

This year`s first graduation of the students of the career courses took place in a Social Club of Vyškov Garrison on 26 February 2010. Chief leaders, TC – MA personnel and guests assisted at the ceremony which was led by the School Battalion with a participation of the Institute of Education, TC – MA.

Almost 50 successful graduates (38 WO Course and 11 Staff Sergeant Course) were awarded certificates by Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander, after a two-month theoretical and practical training, complex field training and passing final exams. WO Jiří Hubatka was pronounced the best graduate. In addition, the WO Course graduates were also awarded a silver badge of the TC – MA Career Course Graduates which is currently awarded together with a Certificate after a successful completion of the WO Course. On the contrary, Staff Sergeant Graduates have to wait for their aureate badges which will be awarded after a completion of the Section Commander Course.

The badge of the career course graduate is a proof and external symbol of completing a career course which serves for a fulfillment of qualification requirements necessary for an execution of their duties on respective established positions. An aureate badge has been awarded to successful Officer Course graduates for the first time on 30th November 2009. The badge was introduced as a part of newly built traditions, rituals and customs. Its awarding representing a return to historical traditions of Military Academy in Hranice has to contribute to an increase in prestige of the departmental school of the MoD as well as to enhance pride and loyalty to the institution which provides them with military education and prepares them for service in professional armed forces.
