Vyškov welcomed students from Military Academy from Belgrade

A group of fifteen Serbian students from Belgrade visited Training Command – Military Academy (TC – MA) on the 7th October 2009.

One of the main goals of Training Command – Military Academy is to organize and execute basic, professional and specialized training, career military education and training of officers, warrant officers and staff sergeants. Surrounding training area is the most widely used in the Czech Republic. Besides the Czech Army, this area is also used by foreign units. During a few-hours` visit the students of the second, third and forth years of Military Academy had an opportunity to get acquainted with the premises of TC – MA Vyškov and with the equipment used for military training within the garrison.

Their first stop was an Air Force Training Hall used for training of the aircraft ground crew and anti-ballistic defence of the Czech Armed Forces. Apart from other teaching equipment there are also three L-39 aircrafts and Mi-17 and Mi-24-V helicopters.

Furthermore the students also visited the premises of the Centre of Simulation which has the first-rate technical equipment comparable to the renowned simulation centres in the world. The students could also see simulators used for tactical and fire training.

The stay of the Serbian students was concluded by their tour of the sports facilities of TC – MA Vyškov and of special classrooms which are also used for the preparation of military observers as well as pre-deployment forces before starting their missions abroad.

Several delegations of the Serbian Armed Forces have already visited Vyškov. The most significant was a visit of Major General Petar Cornakov, CS of the Department of Training and Doctrine of the Serbian Republic.

In October 2009 a three-week course for the observers from the U. N. was completed. This course was also attended by five Serbian soldiers.
