The 11th Anniversary of the Czech Republic`s Accession to NATO

On 12th March 2010 a festive gathering was held on the occasion of the 11th Anniversary of the Czech Republic`s Accession to NATO in the assembly hall of Dědice Garrison in Vyškov. This event was attended by the top officials and personnel of Training Command – Military Academy (TC – MA), Vyškov, representatives of the Garrison`s units, members of the Military Senior Club, Association of Forced Labour Military Camps – Auxiliary Technical Battalions and state administration and local government.

The Ball Given by the TC – MA Commander

The Ball given by the TC – MA Commander was traditionally held in the Garrison Cultural Building (GCB) in Vyškov on 5th March 2010. The guests were received by the TC – MA Commander himself at the entrance hall and the ladies were given a beautiful flower. During his introductory speech Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna pronounced officially that he was opening the ball for the last time as the TC – MA Commander.

Security Director of the MoD in Vyškov Garrison

On 10th March 2010 an inauguration of a specialized classroom designed for Physical Security training was an occasion to welcome David Průša, Security Director of the MoD and Miroslav Charbuský, Director of the Security Department of the MoD, at TC – MA. They were received by Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander, who accompanied them to the classroom where they cut the tape and attended the first lecture on Physical Security.

TC-MA: First Silver Graduate Badges Awarded

This year`s first graduation of the students of the career courses took place in a Social Club of Vyškov Garrison on 26 February 2010. Chief leaders, TC – MA personnel and guests assisted at the ceremony which was led by the School Battalion with a participation of the Institute of Education, TC – MA.

Deputy Minister of Defence visited Vyškov Garrison

On 17 February 2010 a delegation led by František Padělek, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic, who was accompanied by Milan Gola, Director of the Personnel Department of the MoD, Milan Máčel, Director of the Education Department, and Vít Ševčík, Director of the Deputy Minister of the MoD Office, visited Vyškov Garrison.

Military Academy Museum Has a New Display

On 12th February BG Radoslav Rotrekl, Deputy Commander of the Support Forces, and Colonel GS Jaromír Zůna, TC – MA Commander, cut the tape symbolizing an opening of a new display of Military Academy Museum of the “Hranice Academicians” in Vyškov. The ceremony was attended by guests and those who participated in an implementation of this project.

An Anti-Aircraft Units Training of the Hungarian Armed Forces in the Czech Republic

A Final Planning Conference (FPC) concerning an anti-aircraft units training of the Hungarian Armed Forces within the AF CR training facilities took place at Training Command – Military Academy (TC – MA) from 10th to 11th February 2010. The SHORAD 2010 Training will be held on 26-30 April 2010 at MTEA Hradiště where a similar training took place in 2009 and was attended by the Chief of GS of the Hungarian Armed Forces.

The Belgian Army Training at MTA Hradiště

The Final Planning Conference regarding the Royal Belgian Armed Forces training at MTA Hradiště was held at Training Command – Military Academy (TC – MA) on 26 January 2010.

The planned training will be a final preparation of the Belgian Army before their deployment abroad and it is also their biggest training activity in 2010. It will take place in the first trimester 2010 and will be attended by 2000 personnel and 500 ground vehicles, aircrafts and helicopters.

Negotiation on the Options of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic Training at TC - MA

On 25 January 2010 MG Peter Vojtek, Chief of the Staff for GS Ops Support of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, and Colonel GS Emil Hvásta, Chief of the Department of Personnel Management Staff for Ops Support of the AF SR, visited Vyškov Garrison to deal with the options of the AF SR training at Training Command – Military Academy (TC – MA).

The British Deputy Minister of Defence in Vyškov

The British delegation led by Rt Hon Baroness Ann Taylor, British Minister for International Defence and Security at the MoD, together with Mark Selfridge, Peter Cooper and Colonel James Athil, Attaché of Great Britain in the Czech Republic, visited Vyškov Garrison on 21 January 2010.
